O filme junta uma verdadeira constelação de estrelas: Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Kline e Mary Steenburgen, todos eles já vencedores de óscares.
O filme estreou em Nova York. Douglas, agora com 69 anos, disse que não sabia como as coisas iam acabar, porque nunca tinham trabalhado juntos:
“Só espero que não haja um idiota no grupo. Não sei o que dizer. Química é uma daquelas coisas que, na tela, pode acontecer, ou não. À partida, temos as melhores intenções, mas nunca se sabe como vai acabar”.
Morgan Freeman diz que foi uma experiência maravilhosa:
“Foi uma experiência maravilhosa. Tente imaginar que tem uma oportunidade de trabalhar com pessoas que realmente respeita”!
Muito económico de palavras, Robert De Niro confirmou apenas que tiveram grandes momentos, durante as filmagens:
Como foi para o realizador, Jon Turteltaub, trabalhar com estas figuras lendárias do cinema americano?
“Assustador. Eu só queria ser amado, só queria que eles gostassem de mim, isso era tudo o que me importava. Eu estava preocupado com o filme, porque se fica a pensar: ‘se isto correr mal, não tenho maneira de lhes dizer para fazerem de outra forma’. Eu disse o que era preciso dizer: ‘você cheira a Robert De Niro, você é terrível, Michael’. Depois, fiz figas e vieram essas interpretações, desses atores, como você imaginou, durante toda a sua vida”.
Os quatro planearam uma interrupção nos seus hábitos de vida e na própria idade, para reviverem tempos de glória.
No entanto, ao chegarem a Las Vegas, rapidamente perceberam que as últimas décadas transformaram a cidade do pecado. Isto acaba por ser um teste à velha amizade.

When asked who would cause the most trouble twenty years ago Douglas outed himself and Freeman.
“Look, don’t tell Morgan I told you this, either Morgan or me,” joked Douglas.For the veteran actors the first day on the set was all about getting comfortable with each other.
“You know this was a unique situation, not one of us had ever done a picture with the other one. Which is, sort of, unique when we sort of realized that. But I think it’s – this is the joy of doing movies with older guys. I mean you’re comfortable in your own skin. And you don’t have anything to prove, you know?” said Douglas.For Freeman making the film gave him a chance to work with his idols.
“It was a wonderful experience. Just try to imagine you get a chance to work with people you really do lionizes. You know, and I have been big fans of all of them for a lot of years. So, you know, big feather in the old cap,” he said.Douglas took time out to describe what each star was like on set.
“Bobby was a little surprising. I’ve known Bobby forever, De Niro, you know and he is one kind of image,” he said as he mocked his demeanor.
“But to get a little kiss and a hug in the morning from Bobby makes you feel good. Morgan is always good for a laugh. He’s always got a laugh. And Kevin he’s just working, working all the time. He’s always figuring out things to do,” he told Reuters.Director Jon Turteltaub was brave enough to director the legends, but admitted the first day was scary. “I just wanted to be loved, I just wanted them to like me, that was all I cared about. As the red carpet kicked off news about an “Entourage” movie being officially in the works broke. Ferrara said he knows what is in store for his character and is looking forward to getting back on set with his old cast mates.
“I’m just going to say I’m just really pleased with where it is and I just hope the fans really enjoy it because we are going to work very, very hard trying to deliver a great, great movie.”The film also stars Mary Steenburgen, Romany Malco and a brief cameo by rapper 50 Cent. “Last Vegas” hits U.S. theaters on November 1.
